Step 1 of 4
Context
A leading ready-to-eat meals company had built a strong reputation in its home province, but had not yet established a meaningful presence in Ontario. At first, the company wanted to compete in the B2C market against well-established brands in this province.
02
Step 2 of 4
Pain Point
Ontario presented two connected challenges: limited regional brand awareness and a difficult distribution environment. Entering the market directly through B2C channels would have required significant time and a high client acquisition spend before the brand had earned local credibility.

Step 3 of 4
What We Did
True North designed a B2B market-entry strategy focused on Toronto and Ontario’s concentration of employers, institutions, and strategic partners. We developed a digital platform where employees can order meals that are partially or totally paid for by their employers. We then implemented a dedicated sales resource to increase adoption across Ontario’s corporations.
04
Step 4 of 4
Outcome
The company increased sales and increased its top-of-mind awareness in Ontario. Its B2B foothold created the awareness, credibility, and market validation required to support a broader B2C expansion, allowing the brand to enter the consumer market from a substantially stronger position.
